First Impressions of the Gtech Power Floor Vacuum?
The Gtech Power Floor cleaner is described as a brilliant vacuum cleaner for all floor types around the home. Two main features are that it’s both lightweight and has almost unbelievable suction power for such a small device.
There are two sections of the cleaner, one mainly for floors and a detachable hand vacuum for use on your stairs, car, garden room, motorhome and caravan etc.
One of the biggest advantages of owning a Gtech Power Floor Cordless in my view is that you are not shackled to a wall and so are able to manoeuvre the appliance effectively to cover a large area in less time – this is priceless!
It’s great if you need to vacuum in a hurry as there is no cable to unwind and plug in and so if there are guests on their way just whizz around with this machine and have your floors dust free in no time!
Features and Benefits
The Gtech Power Floor Cordless vacuum cleaner is for vacuuming carpets, floors, curtains and upholstery ( not designed for use as a washing type cleaner).
The vacuum is bagless – dust is collected in a clear dispenser that pulls out when you want to empty it by pushing a catch to release the compacted dirt and dust. This saves you delving into the machine and getting your hands dirty as I have found I have to do with my upright Dyson cleaner.
An indicator to show when cannister is full. As the Gtech Power Floor Vacuum is only 2.3 kgs the appliance is lightweight and manageable. A Lithium-ion battery delivers 20 minutes of cordless cleaning after 4 hours charge time.
The size of the appliance makes for easy storage.
The unique AirLoc system of the Gtech Power Floor
The Gtech Power Floor Vacuum cleaner has a unique AirLoc system which gives it the Power Floor name. On pushing the vacuum it collects large particles from the area and when pulled back the AirLoc system kicks in and sucks the much smaller particles up ensuring a cleaner floor.
The system works perfectly to collect pet hair and all those nooks and crannies that you haven’t been able to get at previously. The swivel head makes it easy to manoeuvre to reach those awkward places and the main long tube reaches ceilings so no need to stand on the furniture.

Using the Gtech Power Floor Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:
This is sooo easy to use, I used this all around the house and the light was good to make sure all of the dust was vacuumed up and detached the head to reach those ceiling cobwebs that always seem to appear from nowhere and to dust the numerous picture frames.
I then used the mini vacuum for the stairs and to get the cats hair from the sofa and all of this was done without having to constantly pug and unplug the appliance- I even had time to give the car a once over!
This was a lot lighter than any of the conventional vacuums that I have owned over the years and a lot easier to empty and keep clean. The clear dispenser was easily pulled out and emptied and the filter was quickly washed under the tap. I would definitely recommend the Gtech Power Floor to anyone as it really saves time and energy – effortless.
Pros of the Gtech Power Floor Cleaner:
No lead to trip you up– this is absolutely brilliant as you don’t have to keep stopping to find a power socket and you can go from room to room in quick succession without stopping to drag or carry a usually heavy cumbersome machine around with you.
LED display displays the remaining charge left on the battery– you can see clearly how much hoovering time is left to go and if you don’t have the time to recharge the appliance then you can go straight to the most important areas that you wish to clean.
Easy to empty and clean- the clear collecting bin is a boon as you know exactly when it’s full and is easily emptied into the bin.
Washable filter– again this is easily washed and rinsed and there are no numerous sections of the machine to check on a regular basis as with other vacuums. Householders do not want to have to constantly check, empty, wash, dry and keep an eye on renewing numerous parts of a vacuum cleaner.
Excellent customer service at head office- this is where Gtech are winning – if you have really good service and support for a product then they will strengthen their place in the marketplace and be better placed for many more innovative designs in the future.
British trusted company- this goes hand in hand with the actual product and customer service. The standards that we know, believe in and carry out here in the UK goes a long way with everyone on a worldwide scale and this in itself is and added bonus when purchasing this product.
Cons:
Requires frequent emptying (a larger dust container would be awkward and add weight). No wall storage bracket attachment when not in use.
Maybe a little short on battery running time- 20 mins might not be enough to vacuum a large house
Not so good in cleaning long pile rugs- but honestly does any vacuum does this without getting caught up?
