It is capable of washing a very reasonable 8kg of washing in a single load, which is great for families. It also has a 2-year parts and labour manufacturer’s guarantee and has an A+++ energy rating, giving you that piece of mind that you are investing in a quality piece of equipment.

The reload function lets you simply add missed out clothes or remove clothes during a wash cycle. All you have to do is pause the running cycle, open the door and add or remove the item of clothing, then continue the wash.

This is such a time saver, especially when you find a stray sock or two at the bottom of the washing basket. It should be noted that reloading is not possible when suds temperature is higher than 50 degrees Celsius or when the water level is too high, however for the most part, this should not be a problem.

Furthermore, the quick wash feature only takes 15 minutes, ideal if you are in a hurry or just have a few bits and pieces that need washing. Also, if you’re like me and often need to put a wash on late at night, the Bosch Night Wash programme lowers the noise levels of the cycle to avoid disruptions, which the rest of your household will thank you for.

It is a simple, clean and classic design, which should suit most kitchens. It has a distinct centre dial for programme selection and a clear LED display screen. It’s a decent size at a depth of 55cm, height of 84.8cm and width of 59.8cm, so make sure you have enough room in your house before purchasing.

Furthermore, with VarioPerfect select either the SpeedPerfect or EcoPerfect functions in the menu to set most of the programmes to run more quickly or more efficiently, reducing your washing time by up to 65%, or your energy consumption by up to 50%. This is great for helping to keep your energy bills down, which is something we can all agree is more than useful.

It’s wide range of programmes allows you to wash multiple different fabrics and clothing styles, meaning you should be able to avoid the irritating snags and tears that can easily happen to your more delicate garments.

This Bosch washing machine is both energy-efficient and high-performing, with top ratings for energy use and for wash and spin cycles. Handy features like Reload and EcoPerfect offer some convenient extras, and the choice of programmes and adjustments allows you to customise each wash.
